Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Description of Service

Marki is a free application that allows you to:

• •Scan supermarket receipts using optical character recognition (OCR)
• •Record and categorize household expenses
• •Analyze spending patterns by category, store, and time period
• •Monitor your household's nutritional balance
• •Compare prices across stores
• •Manage shared shopping lists
• •Share household management with other members (shared households)
• •Add items to your shopping list by voice using AI-powered transcription

Marki is a personal organization tool. It does not provide financial, nutritional, or any other type of professional advice.

2. Requirements

To use Marki you must:

• •Be at least 16 years of age
• •Provide accurate information when registering
• •Be responsible for maintaining the security of your account

3. User Accounts

You can register using Google, Apple, or email. Your account is personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Shared Households

Marki allows you to create households and invite other users. When you join a household:

• •Household members can view receipts, products, shopping lists, and budgets
• •The household creator (owner) can manage members
• •When leaving a household, your contributions (scanned receipts, list items) remain associated with the household
• •When deleting your account, your personal data will be anonymized but household data will be preserved for other members

5. Your Content

The data you enter into Marki (receipts, products, lists) belongs to you.

• •Full ownership: your data belongs to you
• •Right to export: you can request a copy of your data at any time
• •Right to deletion: you can delete your account and data whenever you want

By using Marki, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and display your data within the Application for the sole purpose of providing you with the service.

We may use aggregated and anonymized data (which cannot identify you) to improve the service.

6. Acceptable Use and Prohibitions

You agree to use Marki responsibly and lawfully. You may not:

• •Attempt to access data from other users or households without authorization
• •Use the Application for illegal purposes
• •Attempt to reverse engineer or decompile the Application
• •Introduce malicious content or abuse automated access to the Application
• •Share your account with third parties

7. Service Availability

Marki is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted service availability or that the OCR system will extract data with absolute accuracy. We recommend always reviewing the data extracted from your receipts.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Spanish law:

• •We are not responsible for financial or nutritional decisions based on data from the Application
• •We are not responsible for data loss due to causes beyond our control
• •Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use the Application (in this case, zero, as it is free)

9. Termination

You can stop using Marki and delete your account at any time from within the Application. We reserve the right to suspend or cancel accounts that violate these terms, with prior notice except in cases of fraudulent activity or security threats.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms and Conditions. We will notify you through the Application before changes take effect. Continued use of Marki after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Applicable Law

These Terms are governed by Spanish law and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For dispute resolution, the courts of the user's city of residence in Spain shall have jurisdiction, or the courts of Madrid for users outside Spain.
